LFCHD Board of Health

The Lexington-Fayette County Health Department’s Board of Health determines the long-range planning and sets goals for the future direction of the health department. The board ensures that policies and goals are carried out by LFCHD staff.

Board of Health Monthly Meetings

The Board of Health meets on the second Monday of each month at the Lexington-Fayette County Health Department main office at 650 Newtown Pike.  Meetings begin at 5:45 pm in the 3rd Floor meeting rooms and are open to the public.

Change in services: Effective May 20, 2014, we are able to provide childhood vaccinations (must live in Fayette County, be 18 years or younger and be uninsured or underinsured). Limited appointments are available daily Monday-Friday, and appointments can be made up to a week in advance by calling the Public Health Clinic at (859) 288-2483.

Our Public Health Clinic at 650 Newtown Pike is no longer able to see patients for the following programs: adult immunizations/physicals and breast/cervical cancer.
