Swimming Pool Operator Certification

All public pools and spas in Fayette County are required by regulation to have at least one certified pool operator on duty during the hours of operation.

As more swimming and specialized aquatic facilities are built there is an increasing need for professionally trained operators. These operators must have the technical knowledge and practical experience necessary to fulfill these requirements.

This course is designed to provide guidelines for the safe operation of swimming pools and spas. Pool owners, managers, and maintenance personnel are encouraged to attend.

Pool & Spa Operators School registration fee is $35.00. Payments must be received at least two (2) working days before the requested class. Class size is limited to 35 participants, so registration is subject to availability.

Limited appointments are available daily Monday-Friday, and appointments can be made up to a week in advance by calling the Public Health Clinic at (859) 288-2483.

Our Public Health Clinic at 650 Newtown Pike is no longer able to see patients for the following programs: adult immunizations/physicals and breast/cervical cancer.
