Our Environmental Health (EH) office addresses the interrelationship between human health and the environment. By enforcing rules and regulations that promote public health and by informing, empowering and educating the community and establishment personnel, there is a positive impact on environmental health. To help ensure the safety of those in our communities in relation to environmental health issues, our staff can help you get permits for:
Food Handler & Food Manager Certifications
Onsite Sewage (Septic Tank) Program
Opening a Restaurant, Grocery or Catering Business
Plumbing Plan Review
Swimming Pool Operator Certification
Temporary & Mobile Food Service

Change in services: Effective May 20, 2014, we are able to provide childhood vaccinations (must live in Fayette County, be 18 years or younger and be uninsured or underinsured). Limited appointments are available daily Monday-Friday, and appointments can be made up to a week in advance by calling the Public Health Clinic at (859) 288-2483.
Our Public Health Clinic at 650 Newtown Pike is no longer able to see patients for the following programs: adult immunizations/physicals and breast/cervical cancer.
