Hours vary by service.
If you have an immediate emergency,
please dial 9-1-1.
Complaints classified as nuisance by the health department usually involve hazardous conditions, malfunctioning plumbing, lack of water service, odors, animal problems, insect problems, and animal and fowl waste and the unsanitary conditions caused by them. The complaints are investigated within a 48 hour period after being received. The responsible person is required to correct violative conditions and follow-up is done to ensure this.
Rodent Control is handled mostly on request basis using baiting, elimination of food sources and elimination of harborage to abate rodent problems.
Information on bird control is available, and public health nuisances caused by birds are investigated.
